For Hendrik Zessel,
fundraising for pancreatic cancer research and care is personal, having lost his sister-in-law to the disease.
Along with his team, Cushwake1, he will be taking part in the 11th Annual Glotman•Simpson Cypress Challenge on Sunday, August 12 to help change the outcome for other families across B.C. impacted by pancreatic cancer.
His team has raised over $6,000 so far and Hendrik says he is looking forward to the camaraderie that takes place amongst participants on event day.
“It brings together a lot of people who have been touched by cancer,” he says. “It’s a fundraiser with a great cause.”
