CHALLENGE your teammates
Enter the Team Challenge, making the 12km climb to the Hollyburn Nordic Area together. The team captain must register first and pay the $500 registration fee, which covers the entry fee for all four team members, and then the three other team members can register and join the team.

- Register your team before Wednesday, July 11th to qualify for complimentary Cypress Challenge jerseys for all four team members, which can be customized with your team or corporate logo. (Only team captains / members who register before this date will be guaranteed their requested size.)
- Each team captain / member who registers and individually fundraises $500 before Wednesday, July 11th will receive a second complimentary Cypress Challenge jersey. (Not customized)
- Each team captain / member who registers and individually fundraises $200 before Monday, July 31st will receive a complimentary pair of Cypress Challenge cycling socks.
rider check-in / package pickup
All participants are required to check-in before starting the ride. To avoid congestion on event day, we encourage everyone to check-in early on Friday, August 11. Team participants, and participants who qualify for a complimentary jersey and / or socks, may pick up these items at check-in:
Package pickup and last minute registration:
Where: Glotman Simpson, 1661 W 5th Ave, Vancouver, BC.
When: 11:30am-8pm Friday, August 11.
What: Sponsors, including 4iii Power Meters, will be on site.
And also: 7:30-8:30am on event day August 13 at Mulgrave School off Cypress Bowl Road.
Online registration is open until Friday at 7:30pm and in-person at Mulgrave School on the day of the event 7:30-8:30 am. No need to "check in" on the morning of if you've already got your race package.
Bag check will be available on Sunday during rider check-in, with items shuttled to the peak for pick up during the celebration reception.
ride START TIMES
The ride begins on Cypress Bowl Road, Gate 6, shortly after the turnoff for Mulgrave School (2330 Cypress Bowl Lane). The start will be a self-seeded neutral roll-out. Please seed appropriately for the safety of all riders (under 45 minutes, 45-60minutes, over 60 minutes)
Start times for 1st Peak Lookout Riders is 8:45 am.
Start time for Full Peak riders is 9 am.
PARKING & ROAD CLOSURES
Parking at the base of Cypress is limited, as such we recommend that you ride to the start location. If you drive, here are some parking options from the event:
Mulgrave School: Rider drop-off and limited parking is available at the Mulgrave School Parkade (2330 Cypress Bowl Lane). Please arrive before 8 am to secure a spot.
1st Peak Lookout: There is lots of parking across the street from the 1st Peak Lookout, and a short 5km drive down Cypress to registration. Please arrive before 8:30 am.
2nd Peak Lookout: Drive just a bit further up Cypress to the 2nd peak to park. Please arrive before 8:30 am.
Hollyburn Cross Country area: Park just past the finish line at the Hollyburn Cross Country area and warm up for the ride with a 12km downhill ride. Please arrive before 8:30 am.
The highway entrance to Cypress Bowl Road will be closed from 8:40 - 9:10 am to allow riders time to set off and clear the start area. If you have friends or family driving up the mountain please encourage them to leave plenty of time to make the road closure.
RULES OF THE ROAD
While you pedal to your personal best time remember this is not a race. A few items to keep in mind to ensure everyone has a great day:
It will be a neutral start, so please stay behind the lead vehicle until the two lanes become available.
Strict Yellow Line rule will be in effect at all times. If a person crosses the yellow line, they will be automatically disqualified, and will not have their name or time posted.
Riders have only one lane available and must keep to the right at all times.
Full Peak Riders may catch some 1st Peak Lookout Riders, please be courteous and provide these riders space when passing.
AFTER THE RIDE
Celebrate your finish at our hosted reception at the peak of Cypress Mountain. Riders will receive a plentiful array of complimentary snacks and beverages from our sponsors and supporting partners. We'll also be capping off the event with the presentation of jerseys to category winners, offering additional prizes up for grabs and listening to tunes.
The mountain top can be chilly! Please remember to bring extra clothing layers for the ride down such as arm/leg warmers or a jacket. Riders can check a bag prior to ride start, which will be shuttled to the peak.
Rider awards will start at approximately 10:30 am.
